Looking Forward to Fashion
With winter upon us, it may be difficult to remember that spring is just around the corner. But Fashion Weeks in New York, Milan and Paris remind us that now's the time to see what's on the style horizon!
Emerging trends were slightly different from location to location, but there were some universal looks in all three venues. Here's a rundown on what's happening in hair and makeup this spring...but it's never too late to be ahead of the style curve!
Makeup:The Lips Have it Bold lip color is hot this season. Look for lips in deep shades of wine and burgundy or bright punchy shades of orange and coral. If you're choosing the dark wine tones, find shades with a cooler blue base to make your smile look bright. If you're opting for orange, look for bronze undertones to bring out the glow in your complexion.
With the new bold lips, keep the rest of your makeup minimal for a super clean and crisp face.
Hair: Back in Time?
Styles reminiscent of the 60's and 70's were all over the runways this year, with everything from hippie waves to pixies. Where length is concerned, there's no middle ground this season. Hair is either longer than shoulder-length or pixie-short. Fashionable long locks are in loose, almost messy waves or stick-straight strands (with a center part for ultra-retro style)...but nothing in between. If a short 'do is up your alley, make the commitment and cut if super-short - in between or wishy-washy length won't do. If styles aren't 60's and 70's retro, they're 20's retro - deep side-parts and high-shine finger waves give updo's a classic, formal look.
Shine On Lastly, whether it's an updo or messy beach waves, shine is everywhere. The wet look can be used on ponytails, buns, or straight hair. High-gloss gel and shine spray are must-haves! |

Our STAR® Program has gotten a makeover!
When you're a student at Regency, every day is a chance to shine! There are some exciting changes coming to our STAR Program, so we can recognize and celebrate each one of our students as they progress through the program. Regency's STAR Program has two main goals: To help our students graduate on time, and to help them develop the skills they'll need to be successful in the working world.
Whenever you're on a journey, even if you know exactly where you're going it helps to have some guideposts along the way to tell you where you are and how much further you have to travel to reach your destination. That's why our new STAR Program is designed around clear milestones, so you can see your progress towards graduation any time you want.
By providing our students with the tools they need to manage their own success in the program, we're making it easier than ever for our students to see their progress, graduate on time, and earn perks and rewards along the way! We're celebrating accomplishments more than ever, we're giving our students some bling along the way, and we're empowering our students so they can see exactly where they are in the program, every step of the way.
What's not changing? We're still providing our students with lots of opportunities to earn fabulous perks and rewards!
Full details on our changes will be announced the week of December 6 - so stay in touch with your Admissions Rep or if you're already scheduled to start, your Campus Manager will have all the details for you! |
