Hayes Batson Chairman & CEO
Hayes Batson purchased Regency from his father-in-law in 2002 with a vision to deliver a better kind of cosmetology education. Prior to joining Regency, Hayes was president and chief executive officer of Epotec, Inc., a privately-owned behavioral health software company. He has also been a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, Inc. and an investment banker with William Blair & Company L.L.C.
Hayes earned his master’s of business administration degree from the University Of Chicago Graduate School Of Business and his bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology from Kenyon College.

Mark Carani SVP, Campus Operations
Mark joined Regency from Baxter Healthcare where he was the director of global service business development. During Mark’s tenure with Baxter, he also held management roles in the global supply chain organization. Prior to Baxter, Mark was a principal consultant with Telution, Inc., a Chicago based operations support software (OSS) firm, and Aldridge Electric, Inc., a Chicago based construction contractor, where he was a program/operations manager in the construction services industry.
Mark earned his master’s of business administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He also holds a master’s of science degree in project management from the Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering from Marquette University.

Roxanne Chihos VP, Admissions
Prior to joining Regency, Roxanne was a district manager of new business development with Lifetouch, Inc. She was also a regional director and managing director for the Hair Club for Men, Inc.
Roxanne earned her master’s of business administration degree from Metropolitan State University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.

Stacey Cunningham VP, Human Resources
Stacey joined Regency from The Cornerstone Group, a real estate development company. Prior to The Cornerstone Group, Stacey was the director of marketing for Greenspring Media Group. Stacey has also worked for Brookfield Properties and General Growth Properties.
Stacey earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

Andrea Fike SVP & General Counsel
Prior to joining Regency Andrea was the Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Fair Isaac Corporation, a business analytics and software company, where Andrea was responsible for legal affairs and held a business operations role. Prior to Fair Isaac, Andrea was a partner in the Minneapolis-based law firm of Faegre & Benson, LLP, where her practice focused on financial institution regulation.
Andrea earned a juris doctorate degree from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Wilson Garland SVP, Programs & Innovation
Prior to joining Regency, Wilson served as the Vice President of Learner Operations and Administration at Capella University. Over the course of ten years with Capella, he also led the development and management of all programs in the business and technology markets from a variety of senior leadership roles. His prior experience includes a variety of positions in product development, marketing, advertising, and consulting with companies such as 3M, J. Walter Thompson, and ASET Consultants.
Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Joe Gaylord President & COO
Joe is responsible for Regency’s headquarters and campus operations, admissions, program management and marketing functions. Joe joined Regency from Capella University where he served in multiple senior roles including chief financial officer. Prior to Capella, Joe held senior financial roles at Deluxe Corporation. He began his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Joe earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Marquette University.

Paul Kriloff VP, Marketing
Prior to joining Regency, Paul was Director of Sales for All Star Directories, one of the nation’s leading providers of marketing services to higher education, where he oversaw customer acquisition and client services.
Paul earned his bachelors degree from the University of Washington.

Doug McKibben VP, Infrastructure
Doug joined Regency from Datacard Group, a global leader in providing secure ID and card personalization solutions. While at Datacard, Doug held numerous technical and IT management positions including overseeing all aspects of IT infrastructure deployment and management.
Doug holds a technical degree in telecommunications from Dakota County Technical College.

Sally Mickelson VP, Student Financing
Prior to joining Regency, Sally was the corporate director of financial aid for Regis Schools. Her previous experience includes financial aid leadership positions with MN School of Business, Globe College, MN School of Cosmetology, and Utah Career College.
Sally earned a bachelor’s degree in human services from Metropolitan State University and has a licensed practical nursing diploma from Dakota County Technical College.

Linda Muehlbauer SVP, Student Support
Prior to joining Regency, Linda was the Vice President of Student Support for Capella University where she managed the enrollment, student services, advising and career services functions. Her previous experience includes leadership positions with Bank of America Mortgage and Marquette Bank.
Linda has earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.

Carla Simpson VP, Education
Prior to joining Regency, Carla owned her own training and development company, CarWriter Training Services, Inc., which served the beauty and franchise industries. Carla has been involved in start-up franchises, education, and program development for Regis Corporation, The Barbers, Hairstyling for Men and Women, Inc., and Aveda Corporation.
Carla earned her bachelor’s degree from Bethel College.

Tom Skiba SVP & CFO
Tom is responsible for Regency’s finance, accounting, technology and infrastructure functions. Tom joined Regency from Kroll Ontrack, a leader in providing electronic discovery and data recovery services and software, where he served for 15 years as its chief financial officer. Prior to Kroll Ontrack, Tom was the chief financial officer at IVI Publishing, an electronic publisher of health information. Before IVI, Tom spent 15 years at Ernst and Young.
Tom received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana.

Neal Tillotson VP, Technology
Prior to joining Regency, Neal was the director of technology for Epotec, Inc., a privately-owned behavioral health software company. He has also been a senior programmer/analyst with ING and a software consultant with Telespectrum and the Wilmington Trust Company.
Neal earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in operations management from the University Of Delaware.
